Get out and flea at the Spring Markets on Sundays — March 1 and 22, April 5 and 19, and May 3 — at the WaterFire Arts Center from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. The Flea is an award-winning vintage and artisan/maker market, featuring a rotating lineup of more than 80 local vintage vendors, artisans, makers, food trucks, bakeshops and community nonprofits.

If you love an urban treasure hunt, you’re not alone. The Flea attracts thousands of shoppers to each market, all looking to find that certain something nestled among the stalls of curated collections brought to them by different vendors at each market.

With dozens of local makers from area shops and studios, the Flea showcases the best of our local talent. Their original and small-batch creations are locally designed, handcrafted, upcycled, printed, painted, screened and sewn. And they love to chat about their goods, their processes and inspiration — and share their stories with you.

There's plenty of style — new and pre-loved — that is brought to market, from online collections to small brick and mortar boutiques. They share a keen eye for sought-after items that disappear from their racks quickly, because, well ... early birds! There are also several graphic design shops, some with Rhode Island-themed T-shirts, hats and accessories that highlight the wit and humor of living in our quirky state. No mass-produced items or fast fashion here.

Stock up on handcrafted apothecary items for a new spring skin regimen or some deliciously scented handmade soaps and hand-poured candles for your home. There are always several vendors to choose from at every market, each with organic or natural ingredients and signature products.

And every Flea offers a changing lineup of food trucks outdoors and bakeshops indoors, including hot and iced artisan coffee drinks (always!), gourmet desserts, locally baked pies, cookies, blondies, and a combination of burgers, tacos, waffles and Greek food, too.
