A celebration of Mexican culture comes to life throughout Providence and beyond, with lots of options to get out and enjoy the day. Cinco de Mayo falls on a Saturday this year so mark your calendars and don’t miss any of the fun.
Cinco de Mayo Block Party at The Rosendale
Head down to Union Street for one of the best block party fiestas in the city, hosted by The Rosendale. Admission is free with a mix of live music and a DJ spinning as you dance the night away. Drink specials and delicious food make this a go-to spot to celebrate.
Cinco de Mayo Taco Fest
In Downcity presents the annual Cinco de Mayo Taco Fest on Westminster Street, Saturday, May 5, celebrating the local flavors, sights and sounds of Providence and, of course, all things TACOS. DJ Studebaker Hawk will be mixing eclectic Latin beats from Grant’s Block to get you moving in between chowing down on delicious bites from some of your favorite local eateries. Admission is free and includes family-friendly activities, such as a kids’ craft table, sidewalk chalk and more. Also, check out the Providence Rock & Roll Yard Sale happening at the same time.
Fireside Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo fireside at the Rooftop at the Providence G on May 5 beginning at 8 p.m. Expect food and drink specials, along with prizes and giveaways for the evening. Music will be provided by DJ Jackie Treehorn and admission is free.
Cinco de Mayo Block Party
Head over to The Whiskey Republic for Providence’s biggest outdoor fiesta in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. The event begins at 2 p.m. and runs through the night, with either a $5 or $10 dollar admission. Get your sombreros out and be ready to party.
4th Annual New England Tequila & Rum Festival
Twin River Casino presents their 4th Annual New England Tequila & Rum Festival on Saturday, May 5, at the Event Center. Enjoy samples from all around the world, live entertainment, seminars, food pairings, live music performed by The Ravers and more. This event will be hosted by Spike TV’s "Bar Rescue" mixology expert Mia Mastroianni.
Howlin’ Cinco de Mayo
Kick off margarita season and the nice weather at Splitsville and Howl at the Moon at Patriot Place. Grab a Blue Margarita Bucket, sing along to a live band and dance the night away. The event begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free.
