Flickers, a nonprofit arts organization, supports and promotes the film arts in Rhode Island and throughout New England. It produces the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF), which over the last two decades has screened thousands of independent films and videos for hundreds of thousands of moviegoers. RIIFF is one of only 10 festivals worldwide that is an Academy Award qualifier in the Live Action, Animation and Documentary Short categories, as well as a qualifier with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
